PHOENIX ICE CLIMBING – CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Ice climbing in Ladakh requires advance planning, equipment reservations, permits, guides, and logistics. To maintain fairness and clarity for all participants, the following cancellation policy applies.
Payment & Confirmation:
Your spot is considered confirmed only after full payment. Without payment, your seat cannot be reserved under any circumstances.Cancellation by Participants:
More than 30 days before the start date: 75% refund, or 100% trip credit valid for 12 months.
Between 15–30 days before the start date: 50% refund, or 75% trip credit valid for 12 months.
Less than 15 days before the start date: No refund due to fixed costs already committed. However, you may transfer your spot to another eligible participant with prior approval.
Cancellation by Phoenix:
If the expedition is cancelled due to weather, operational issues, road closures, or safety concerns, you will receive either:100% trip credit for any future Phoenix program, or
A full refund minus any non-recoverable vendor charges (shared transparently).
Drop-Out During the Expedition:
If a participant chooses to exit early due to altitude issues, personal reasons, fitness limitations, or not following safety instructions, no refund applies. Any evacuation or separate transport costs must be borne by the participant.Force Majeure:
Events such as natural disasters, extreme weather, political restrictions, or other situations beyond control will follow a no-refund policy, though partial credits may be provided depending on vendor allowances
